Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a fresh, high-volume walk-in clinic in Oshawa – a brand-new site opening in September – as part of a 45-year-established Ontario group, with earning potential exceeding $1,000,000 CAD (approx. £540,000+) on a 70/30 fee split rising towards 80/20.

The Practice

• Based at Northwood’s brand-new Oshawa clinic, opening in September – a ground-floor opportunity outside the group’s traditional Northern Ontario base.
• A walk-in clinic model with genuinely high patient volume, and admin support in place specifically to maximise your patient-facing time.
• A registered teaching clinic, working alongside medical students, residents and physician assistants as part of a genuine training culture.
• A broad acute scope: illness and injury care, cryotherapy, sutures and immunisations, plus driver’s and pre-employment medicals.
• A virtual clinic alongside in-person care, plus referrals for blood work, specialists and X-rays with immediate results available.

Location Overview

Oshawa is the largest city in Durham Region, sitting on Lake Ontario around 60km east of Toronto, with an 11km waterfront trail running through Lakeview Park, Lakefront West Park and Second Marsh. It’s home to both Ontario Tech University and Durham College, plus the Peony Festival – one of Canada’s largest peony collections, named a Top 100 Festival and Event in Ontario for seven consecutive years. Skills and Requirements

• Qualified as a Family Physician, registered with the GMC and UK Performers List, or eligible for registration with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification.
• Comfortable in a high-volume, walk-in-only acute care environment, with efficient, focused consultations rather than longitudinal family practice.
• Happy to teach and supervise medical students, residents and physician assistants as part of day-to-day practice.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
