Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, fast-growing family practice group in Ontario on a 75/25 fee split – among the most generous on offer – with the opportunity to work in a diverse MDT. The clinics are located in the naturally beautiful Durham Region, which offers close proximity to GTA whilst also having an abundance of parks and green space on your doorstep.

The Practice

• Part of a growing group of 10 walk-in and family practice locations across Ontario, expanding by 4-5 GPs every year for genuine long-term stability.
• Strong, unmet patient demand across a city of over 170,000 people, with straightforward 10-minute consultations and no shortage of patients from day one.
• Broad clinical scope, from chronic disease management and women’s health to on-site minor procedures, lab work and diagnostics.
• On-site pharmacy for direct prescription fulfilment, cutting out the back-and-forth with external chemists.
• A supportive, long-standing team with a strong local reputation built over years, not months.

• On-site lab work and diagnostics, including rapid strep and COVID testing, keep results in house rather than sending patients elsewhere.
• Streamlined booking and patient records through the clinic’s EMR system, cutting down time spent on paperwork.
• Genuine relocation support, including an airport pickup, help sourcing a car, and a welcome meal with the team on arrival.
• Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu or Arabic language skills are a bonus given the local patient community, though never essential.

Location Overview

Oshawa sits on the shores of Lake Ontario, with waterfront trails at Lakeview Park and the historic gardens of Parkwood Estate and the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens on your doorstep. Long known as Canada’s Motor City, the city has diversified in recent years into education and health sciences, home to Ontario Tech University and Durham College and a growing, diverse population. Downtown Toronto is under an hour away by car or GO Train, giving you the buzz of the city whenever you want it, alongside a calmer pace of life at home.

Skills and Requirements

• MRCGP or equivalent qualification
• Eligibility for registration with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume walk-in and family practice environment
• Strong communication and team-working skills
