Locum GP

Background –   A rural practice in South Cumbria, is needing Locum GP support from April onwards. This will be for 5 months, so up until end of August with possibility of it being extended further if needed.

The practice is needing 8 sessions per week covering, ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Although, the practice is willing to be flexible with the days to make it more consecutive if this may be better suited.

Shared Admin and Home Visiting support will be needed throughout the course of this booking. There will be no Duty Day’s, but the practice does leave open some emergency slots in the 12 patients per session, in case an emergency appointment does need to be triaged in.

The practice would be looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years post CCT experience.

Salary – £800- 850 per day

• EMIS practice
• Great multidisciplinary team

Your role –

• Locum GP
• 8:00am – 6:30pm
• Cover to start from April for up to 5 months – may be extended
• 8 sessions per week, ideally Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri but can be flexible with days
• 12 patients per session
• Shared Admin support needed
• Home Visit support needed – 2/3 Home Visits per week
• No Duty/Triaging but urgent slots included into the 12 patients per session
• You must be a qualified General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performer’s List
