Salaried GP – Leighton Buzzard

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join a well-established, forward-thinking GP organisation serving communities west of Leighton Buzzard.

The practice has an excellent reputation locally, with a strong history of GP recruitment and retention. This is a training practice, offering fantastic opportunities for teaching, education and career development.

This vacancy has arisen due to a GP relocating closer to home, creating an opportunity for a new GP to join a stable and supportive team environment.

Newly qualified GPs are very welcome to apply.

Salary & Benefits

  • £10,500 – £11,500 per session
  • NHS Pension
  • BMA Model Contract
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • 1 week study leave

The Practice

  • Established multi-site GP practice
  • Combined patient list of ~20,000
  • Three sites located west of Leighton Buzzard
  • CQC rated Good
  • Mixed patient demographic including some areas of deprivation
  • Strong training and educational focus
  • Highly integrated within the Primary Care Network
  • Uses EMIS clinical system

Strong Multidisciplinary Team

You will be supported by a robust clinical and administrative team including:

  • Paramedics
  • Pharmacists
  • Pharmacy technicians
  • Healthcare assistants
  • Social prescribers

The practice combines a forward-thinking approach with traditional patient-centred care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Approximately 14 patient contacts per session
  • Minimal home visiting
  • Participation in duty doctor rota
  • Opportunity to develop specialist interests
  • Potential partnership opportunities for the right candidate
