Locum GP

Background –
A strong and ongoing requirement has arisen for Locum GPs to support a forward-thinking primary care provider in Somerset specifically on Fridays. Due to consistent demand and a shortage of GP cover at the end of the week, the practice is keen to build a pool of reliable locums who can offer Friday availability on an ad hoc basis.

This is an ideal opportunity for GPs already in salaried or portfolio roles who are looking to pick up additional sessions flexibly, without the expectation of committing to every Friday.

Salary – £750 – £850 per day

Location – Somerset, various locations

Your role –

• Ongoing locum requirement specifically for Fridays (ad hoc and flexible dates)
• Various locations across the Somerset area
• Ideal for GPs seeking additional sessions alongside existing roles
• Mix of telephone and face-to-face consultations with a variable workload
• Additional duties such as home visits, practice admin and duty sessions all remunerated at a higher rate
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
