Salaried GP, Carlisle

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP to join a forward-thinking Practice in Carlisle, who are looking for an additional GP to join their team. The practice can be flexible with the number of sessions on offer, along with days of work.

The Practice is an accredited Training Practice and regularly has registrars on site, along with a diverse MDT including ANPs, Pharmacists and Practice Nurses. Workload is kept as reasonable as possible with a mixture of 10 and 15-minute appointments, seeing circa 28-30 patients per day.

The role of Salaried GP pays up to £11,000 per session though there is development available to a Lead GP role with extra responsibility, allowing progression to a much higher sessional rate (circa £13,000/session).

This Practice is an accredited Tier 2 visa sponsor.

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.

Salary – £10,500 – £13,000 per session+ + Indemnity insurance paid + NHS Pension + 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave.

Your role –

• 4-8 sessions per week – to include a Friday ideally
• 10-15-minute face-to-face appointments
• Circa 28-30 patients per day
• Minimal admin thanks to Clinical Pharmacists and efficient admin team
• Salaried GP role initially but open to Lead GP role in future
• To be a caring GP and enjoy working as part of a multi-skilled team
• Below average number of home visits
