You will be joining a GP Training Practice in Southampton seeking a Salaried GP for 4–7 sessions. This is a genuinely supportive and collaborative team offering a well-structured working day, protected follow-up time and strong MDT support.

The practice has excellent retention, a stable Partnership and a culture focused on teamwork rather than firefighting.

Salary & Benefits

• £11,250–£12,000 per session
• BMA model contract
• Indemnity/GMC fees covered
• 6 weeks annual leave
• 1 week study leave
• Flexible on sessions (ideal around 6)
• Newly qualified GPs welcome

Workload & Structure

• Only 27 patients per day
• Protected mini-session for follow-up appointments (a 6 session GP would have 8 follow-up slots batched together)
• No home visits for Salaried GPs on routine days
• Half-day Duty only, focusing on eConsult triage following initial GPA sifting, with 6 appointment slots allocated during for any patients needing review
• Admin time allocated to each session per BMA contract

• Good mix of Partners and Salaried GPs
• Strong MDT support including:
• ANP
• Paramedic handling most home visits
• Pharmacist
• Mental Health Nurses
• First Contact Physio
• GPA support reducing admin burden
• SystmOne practice
• Friendly team culture with daily coffee breaks and regular clinical meetings
• Diverse patient population with strong continuity of care

Location

Located just north of central Southampton, offering easy access to green space and a convenient commute from across Southampton and surrounding areas.
