Background

This is a different kind of Salaried GP opportunity, built around flexibility rather than the traditional full time, fully in person model. Up to half of sessions can be worked from home, and appointments are structured to protect, rather than squeeze, clinical time. Ongoing investment in scribing technology and an AI assisted reception system reflects a wider commitment to freeing GPs up to focus on patients rather than paperwork.

Location

The practice is based in Bognor Regis, a seaside town on the West Sussex coast. Chichester is around 20 minutes away by car, Worthing around 25 minutes, and Littlehampton around 15 minutes, giving easy access to a wider choice of amenities and transport links while still enjoying a coastal lifestyle.

The Practice

• A broad, innovation focused primary care network, with GPs able to refer directly into paramedics, clinical pharmacists, a mental health practitioner, first contact physiotherapists, a social prescriber and a health and wellbeing coach
• Ongoing investment in technology, including scribing tools and an AI assisted reception system, both designed to protect clinical time
• An efficient admin and reception team who handle the majority of signposting and correspondence
• A large salaried GP team, supported by a strong partnership team
• Small practice
• CQC rated Good

Your Role

• Up to half of sessions can be worked remotely, with the remainder based on site
• Four sessions per week, with some flexibility on days for the right candidate
• Circa 13 to 14 patients per session, with 12.5 minute appointments
• All clinical, with admin time built into the session template rather than added on top
• Duty doctor once a fortnight for a four session role, covering medical certificates, sick notes and e-consultations
• Very few home visits, mostly covered by the wider clinical team
• A clear pathway to Partnership for those who want it
• Newly qualified GPs and those looking for a fresh challenge are equally welcome

Salary and Benefits

• £11,250 to £12,750 per session
• Professional fees covered
• NHS Pension
• 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata
• 1 week study leave, pro rata
• Tier 2 Sponsorship available for the right candidate

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
