This is a rare chance to step into an already high-functioning Practice Operations Manager role, working alongside an established GP Partnership at a substantial, forward-thinking practice. Rather than building the function from scratch, you will inherit a defined structure, a strong track record of innovation, and a leadership team that already understands where its challenges lie.

Location

The practice is based in Slough, Berkshire, with excellent transport links via the M4 and a fast rail connection into London Paddington. Windsor is around 15 minutes away by car, Maidenhead around 20 minutes, and Reading around 30 minutes, making the role accessible from a wide catchment across Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.

The Practice

• Approved GP training practice, hosting GP Registrars as part of an ongoing commitment to postgraduate and Foundation training
• A large practice with a growing patient population, offering genuine scale and strategic weight to the role
• An established track record of digital innovation, having introduced Clinical Pharmacist and Vision Assistant roles well ahead of the sector, and continuing to invest in modern digital access tools

• A large partnership team supported by a large salaried GP team, offering broad exposure to strategic and operational decision-making

Your Role

• Full ownership of operations, HR, finance liaison, governance, IT and PCN relationships, working directly with the GP Partners
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rota basis to cover the practice’s operating hours
• Leading on CQC registration and inspection preparation, building on an already strong compliance record
• Acting as Caldicott Guardian and Data Protection Lead, with responsibility for information governance and GDPR compliance
• A genuine opportunity to address a known, well-understood improvement area around patient access, with the full backing of the Partnership

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of £60,000–£65,000 per annum
• NHS Pension Scheme
• 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
• Permanent, full-time contract
