Locum GP 4 Sessions  – 6 months, North Oxford

Background

A great opportunity for a Locum GP to join a busy, growing training practice in Kidlington on an initial 6-month booking, with an ASAP start. The practice is looking for 4 sessions per week, with Thursdays preferred though not essential, and is flexible around summer holiday availability. Shorter-term or ad-hoc cover would also be considered ahead of, or alongside, a more regular pattern.  Although this is a long term position, it is an opportunity to focus purely on clinical appointments and self-generated admin with no expectation around home visits, shared practice admin or Duty rota.

The Practice

• Mid-sized practice
• CQC rated Good
• GP training practice with a strong educational programme
• Well-supported multidisciplinary team including practice nurses, HCAs, prescribing clinical pharmacists, a paramedic practitioner and dedicated medical secretaries
• EMIS Web and Docman
• Daily team coffee break, with a genuinely collegiate culture

Your Role

• 4 sessions per week, Thursday preferred but not essential
• Sessions follow BMA guidelines: 2 x 4 hours 10 minutes
• Hours of operation 8.00am to 6.30pm, with flexibility on start and finish times within this window
• 25 patient contacts per day
• 15-minute appointments
• No Home Visits & No Duty Rota
