Locum GP

Background
This is a great opportunity for a Locum GP to join a highly respected GP practice for the next nine months to cover maternity leave. The practice is looking for a degree of continuity with two days per week required – Tuesdays are essential then either Thursday or Friday in addition.

There is flexibility around start and finish times and a reasonable workload of two four hour sessions working to 14 patients per session (8 face to face – 15 mins and 6 telephone – 10 mins) with admin built into the morning and afternoon sessions.

Home visits are unlikely as the practice has a Paramedic team that picks up the majority, shared admin is not essential. There may be some expectation for duty work once settled in the role (paid at a higher rate).

Your Role

• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
• Required days – Tuesdays – then either Thursday or Friday in addition
• Sessions are: 2 x 4 hour sessions
• Hours between 8:30-6:00 with flexibility on exact start/finish times within these hours
• 14 patients per session (face-to-face and telephone)
• Home visits are rare, shared admin is not essential
• Potential duty expectation as GP replacing had duty responsibility on alternate Tuesdays
