Locum GP

We are currently working with a supportive and well-established practice located in a scenic coastal area of Southeast Cornwall, seeking locum GP support on Fridays. The requirement is initially for 2–3 months, with the potential to extend for up to 6 months. Availability to also cover a Wednesday afternoon would be advantageous, though it is not essential to the role.

You will be joining a collaborative team of both clinical and non-clinical staff, committed to delivering a high standard of care to the local community in this historic coastal town. The role may include home visits and participation in the duty rota, and Duty days would be remunerated at the higher end of the pay rate.

Salary £700 – £800 per day

Location – Southeast Cornwall (coastal area)

The surgery –

• Dual-site practice within 10 minutes drive of each other
• Supportive team of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Clinical and non-clinical supporting staff
• CQC Good
• Coastal/Rural area
• 8,200 patients
• EMIS

Your role –

• Locum GP
• Regular Friday cover, Wednesday afternoon would also be helpful but not essential
• 2–3 months initially, with potential to extend up to 6 months
• Starting ASAP (pending compliance)
• Practice hours 08:00–18:30 (flexible within this, e.g. 09:00–18:00)
• 15-minute appointments mix of telephone and F2F
• Approx 12–14 patients per session
• Home Visits could be required
• Participation in Duty rota could be required – please not higher day rate is attached to Duty GP responsibilities
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
