Locum GP

Background –

We’re partnering with a highly organised, well-regarded surgery seeking a Locum GP for a Maternity cover until Winter 2026. This long-term opportunity is ideal for anyone wanting consistent work and the chance to build strong relationships within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team in a rural location just outside Bristol.

The practice offers a manageable clinical workload and the option to take on additional responsibilities, including teaching or supervision, for GPs looking to broaden their experience.

Salary £700 per day

The surgery –

• Training practice
• Supportive team of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Clinical and non-clinical supporting staff
• CQC Good
• Rural area
• 6700 patients
• SystmOne

Your role –

• Locum GP
• Maternity cover
• Immediate start till Nov 26
• 30am -6pm
• 4 sessions per week – Wednesdays are required and flexible on the 2^nd day
• 15-minute appointments/21 patients per day
• Home visits would be very occasionally for palliative care etc. as Home visiting service support with these
• Admin slots to support with prescriptions and tasks scheduled into the rota
• Optional involvement to support with teaching/supervision for anyone who might have an interest in this area
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
