Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to earn AUD $600,000-$800,000+ (approx £320,000-£425,000) as a full-time GP at a well-established bulk-billing practice in Western Sydney, working alongside a low-intensity, co-located Medicare Urgent Care Clinic – one of only ten in NSW. With a huge, ready-made patient base and hands-off ownership, this is genuine earning potential without the pressure.

The Practice

• A bulk-billing general practice co-located with a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic – one of only ten in NSW.
• A low-intensity urgent care caseload of around 3-4 patients an hour, described as straightforward, non-emergency work.
• A large, built-in patient base of around 500 patients a day across general and urgent care.
• Hands-off ownership – no set patient targets and full autonomy over your own day.
• An established, low-turnover team, with several GPs having stayed for over a decade.
• Genuine scope to pursue special interests, including minor surgery and skin cancer treatment.
• On-site allied health support including physiotherapy, psychology, podiatry and dietetics.

Benefits

• Exceptional earning potential – full-time GPs currently earn AUD $600,000-$800,000+ a year (approx £320,000-£425,000), boosted by recent Medicare bulk-billing incentive uplifts.
• An evening incentive payment of AUD $30,000 a year (approx £15,000), paid upfront for the length of the contract, for covering the 8pm-10pm extension.
• A 70/30 fee split.
• Visa sponsorship available, with a practice that has sponsored several international GPs before.
• Full onboarding and systems training provided, regardless of prior experience with Australian clinical software.
• A flexible split-shift structure can be arranged to protect your personal time.

Location Overview

Rooty Hill sits in the heart of Western Sydney, with Parramatta just 19 minutes away by direct train and the Western Sydney Parklands – over 50 connected walking and cycling trails – right on the doorstep. Nurragingy Reserve offers landscaped parkland, a native wildlife park and picnic areas, ideal for family weekends. Rooty Hill RSL adds local dining, bowling and an on-site gym, while easy access to the M4 and M7 motorways opens up the wider Sydney basin for day trips and city living. The community is genuinely multicultural, with around 50 cultural backgrounds represented locally, making this a welcoming, family-friendly base with excellent local schooling and green space in equal measure.

Skills and Requirements

• MRCGP or equivalent qualifications.
• Registered with the AMC and RACGP, or eligible for registration.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-focused care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are advantageous given the local patient base, though not essential.
