Salaried GP – GP Training Practice | Amazing GP feedback | 15-minute appointments

Background

Supported by an experienced partnership team, no home visits, and 15-minute appointments as standard, this is a practice that has got the working environment right. Menlo Park has recruited for this practice over a number of years and the feedback from GPs we have placed there is consistently excellent — so much so that two of them have gone on to become Partners.

Location

The practice is based in Andover, a market town in Hampshire with strong road links and good quality of life. It is commutable from Salisbury (around 20 minutes), Basingstoke (around 25 minutes), Winchester (around 30 minutes) and Newbury (around 30 minutes).

The Practice

• GP Training Practice
• A strong partnership team and Salaried GP team, with very high staff retention
• Highly experienced Practice Manager who has been there many years
• Partner-owned, purpose-built premises
• Support from specialist prescribing nurses
• Younger patient demographic with below-average elderly population

Your Role

• Salaried GP, 4 to 5 sessions per week
• 13 patients per session and includes ‘quick fix’ and minor illness ie. it’s not all complex pathology
• 15-minute appointments
• Virtually no home visits
• Team approach to on-call – no solo Duty
• No enhanced access or extended hours commitments
• Opportunity to develop specialist interests and take on additional responsibilities
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List

Salary and Benefits

• Dependent on experience, up to £12,000-12,500 per session
• BMA equivalent contract
• 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
• 1 week study leave
• Professional fees covered
• NHS Pension
