Locum GP, Somerset

An excellent opportunity to support a practice located in a small town in Southwest Somerset for 4 sessions a week on a locum basis. The practice are ideally looking for cover on a Wednesday and Friday, initially until the end of June but could extend.

You will be working for a dynamic and pioneering organisation at the forefront of change and innovation within Primary Care, with the benefits of a small, semi-rural “family feel” practice in a stunning location.

Salary – £750-£800 per day

Location – Southwest Somerset area

The surgery –

• Part of a dynamic Primary Care organisation
• Small, semi-rural practice
• Purpose-built building
• Dispensing practice with dispensary on-site
• Great clinical and admin support
• CQC Good
• C4300 patients
• EMIS

Your role –

• Locum GP
• Wednesdays and Fridays
• 30am-6.30pm
• Start date ASAP pending compliance
• Initially for 3 months but could potentially extend
• 15-minute appointments
• 22 patients per day
• Home visits could be required, though more likely for palliative care as the practice has support of a PCN Home visiting team
• Supportive and varied MDT of ECPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and HCAs
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performers List.
