Location

The practice is in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, with house prices a fraction of most of England and Wales. Milford Haven is around 15 minutes away by car, Tenby around 35 minutes and Carmarthen around 50 minutes. The current GPs all live within about half an hour.

The Practice

• GP Training Practice with registrars, F2 doctors and medical students, plus pharmacist prescribers in training
• Mid-sized, very profitable and well-run practice with a strong partnership team and a salaried GP team
• Funded, protected sessions for special interests, including coils and implants, minor surgery, cryotherapy and joint injections
• Total triage model being introduced, with partners triaging so salaried GPs do not
• Branch site working that gives a quieter, different working day
• Open-door culture, with peer-led teaching every Friday morning

Your Role

• 6 to 9 sessions available, filled by one GP or split across two part-time GPs
• Around 25 patients per day
• Duty is split into half days, never a full day for salaried GPs, and works out at roughly one in four sessions
• Home visits go to locums and registrars first, then salaried GPs, then partners
• No extended hours or weekend requirement for salaried GPs
• Newly qualified GPs welcome, with mentorship and a gentler easing in
• Visa sponsorship available

Salary and Benefits

• Salaried GP: £11,000 per session, a single rate for everyone
• Salaried GP: indemnity paid, 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays and 1 week study leave
• NHS Pension
• GP Partner: no buy-in in the first year, 90% parity from day one and property buy-in deferred to year three
• GP Partner: High-earning

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
