Salaried GP, Wolverhampton

A small, close-knit practice in the heart of a residential community, with a varied list and a happy, supportive team. There is real flexibility on days and hours, and clinical interests such as joint injections and minor surgery are encouraged and paid. Attitude matters more than experience here, so newly qualified GPs are welcome too.

Location

The practice is in a residential part of Wolverhampton. The city centre is around 10 minutes away by car, Walsall around 15 minutes, Cannock around 20 minutes and Birmingham around 35 minutes.

The Practice

• Small, purpose-built site with strong nursing and admin teams who value everyone’s contribution
• Senior GPs offering mentoring and support, with a record of bringing on registrars and newly qualified GPs
• Unnecessary admin is stopped before it reaches the GP
• Weekly team meetings
• CQC rated Good

Your Role

• Flexibility on days, session numbers and start and finish times
• 15 appointments per session, split between telephone and face-to-face
• Each GP has a few urgent slots alongside routine appointments, with no designated duty doctor
• Home visits are very rare
• 10 minutes of protected CPD time built into every session, plus monthly CPD tutorials
• Paid extra work for GPs with minor surgery or joint injection skills
• Visa sponsorship considered for the right candidate

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
