Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new practice with 800+ patients already waiting and a 75% fee split, while the clinic takes care of your billing, inbox, bookings and admin. Work Monday to Friday if you choose, an hour from Toronto on the shores of Lake Simcoe, with a closed work permit route that avoids the LMIA.

The Practice

• Brand new family practice opening November 2026 in an established medical plaza, the first of a planned group of clinics across Ontario
• Run by an Ontario medical billing company that supports 250+ doctors, so your billing is in expert hands from day one
• Choose your own model, including FHO, with the owners advising on which maximises your income and handling all registration and forms
• Rostered patients and walk-ins alongside an on-site pharmacy, with nurse practitioner and RN support for shared care
• Around 20,000 unattached patients in Barrie alone, plus strong demand from surrounding Simcoe County towns

Benefits

• 75% fee split, with overhead covering billing, EMR, AI tools, staff and marketing
• Early-starter terms: room to improve the package for a GP who joins at the outset
• Weekend billings around 45% higher per patient, for those who want the extra earnings
• Monday to Friday is fine, with evenings and weekends optional and locums already lined up
• Minimal inbox admin: a dedicated IMG assistant reviews labs, imaging and letters and books follow-ups on your instruction
• Clinic-funded support: AI tools, IMG support and billing are paid for by the clinic, costs many Ontario practices pass to the physician
• Flexible volume: 25 to 30 patients a day at launch, rising to up to 50 if you want it
• C10 closed work permit supported by an in-house immigration lawyer, avoiding the LMIA route
• CAD $5,000 relocation allowance (approximately £2,700)
• Contract already drafted, 2 to 3 years with flexibility, plus marketing and business cards covered

Location Overview

Barrie wraps around Kempenfelt Bay on Lake Simcoe, with a lakeside trail and marina running the length of the downtown waterfront and public beaches at Minet’s Point and Johnson’s Beach a short drive from the practice. Horseshoe Resort and Snow Valley offer skiing and snowboarding within 30 minutes in winter, switching to mountain biking in summer. Toronto is around an hour south, with a direct GO Train to Union Station, and growing numbers of young families are moving north from the GTA for the space and lake lifestyle. Every August long weekend, Kempenfest fills the waterfront with live music, arts and crafts.

Skills and Requirements

• MRCGP or equivalent
• Eligibility for College of Family Physicians of Canada certification
• Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Comfortable with a mix of rostered and walk-in patients
• Keen to start as soon as possible
