Family Physician

This is a rare opportunity to join a flexible, collaborative Kelowna practice on the LFP model, with a guaranteed CAD $130 per hour (approx. £70) plus per-patient fees, and an established patient panel ready from day one. The Practice

• Established patient panels available – from retiring physicians, meaning no need to build a practice from zero, with rapid city growth driving continuous demand for GP capacity.
• Genuinely flexible, no-pressure culture – no mandated patient volume or appointment length, with schedules built around your own goals and life circumstances.
• Collaborative, not competitive – the three GPs on site cover for each other’s patients during absences and provide mutual clinical support rather than competing over panels.
• On-site nurse and Friday midwife – reduce your admin load with injections and blood pressure monitoring handled for you, and let you focus on non-obstetric women’s health where relevant.
• UK-trained practice owner – Dr Michael Abayomi trained in Nottingham and has personally navigated the same relocation, bringing four years of local referral knowledge to support you.

Benefits

• Guaranteed CAD $130 per hour (approx. £70) under the LFP model, plus a minimum of $25 (approx. £13.50) per patient seen within that hour.
• 75% fee split to the GP, with the remainder covering clinic overhead.
• Extra income for minor procedures – biopsies, for example, are paid at CAD $110 (approx. £59) each.
• Quarterly bonus payments per attached patient on your panel, on top of your hourly guarantee.
• Free temporary on-site housing for your first few weeks or months while you find a permanent home.
• Vehicle access arranged to support local mobility during your transition period.
• Local real estate support, working with established local agents to help with your home search.
• Flexible full-time or part-time hours, with no weekend work currently required.
• Flexible start dates, with staggered or simultaneous arrivals both welcomed alongside other new GPs.
• 3-year contract, offering clarity and stability from the outset.

Skills and Requirements

• MRCGP or equivalent
• Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Strong communication and teamwork
