Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to inherit an established patient panel with a proven income ceiling of CAD $500,000 (£270,000) a year, in one of British Columbia’s most sought-after outdoor lifestyle locations. You’ll join a full-scope practice on the LFP model, with hands-on clinical teaching, embedded nursing support, and a genuinely positive team culture.

The Practice

• Full-scope Family Medicine practice on the LFP model, with direct ownership of your billing and panel income and no shareholder pressure.
• Advanced MOA support completes clinical assessments before you enter the room, cutting your admin load significantly.
• One of only three practices in the area with a Fraser Health-sponsored Registered Nurse embedded in the team.
• A close-knit, mixed-demographic patient base spanning young families to seniors, with consistently high and growing patient demand.
• A genuinely chill and positive culture, with low tolerance for a difficult working environment.
• Structured onboarding from a UBC Clinical Instructor clinical lead, with training in joint injections and minor procedures.

Benefits

• A 75/25 fee split in your favour, with practice overhead capped at CAD $115,000 in your first year, protecting your take-home while your panel builds.
• An immediate patient panel allocated from day one, with no cold start and no list-building from scratch.
• A departing physician with 1,500 patients billed CAD $500,000 (£270,000) in their final year on this model, demonstrating the income ceiling once established.
• Panel payments begin landing within around 12 months, adding a further income stream on top of standard billings.
• Registered Nurse support, sponsored by Fraser Health, handling clinical procedures and freeing you to focus on patients.
• Structured clinical teaching from a UBC Clinical Instructor, including training in joint injections and minor procedures.
• The opportunity to train in medical aesthetics and join an on-site aesthetics business, subject to certification.
• Hybrid appointments for test results, prescription renewals and stable chronic conditions, giving welcome flexibility around the working day.
• Full visa support through Fraser Health and the relevant sponsorship pathway.

Location Overview

Maple Ridge sits on the doorstep of Golden Ears Provincial Park, with over 150km of hiking and mountain biking trails and swimming on glacier-fed Alouette Lake, and holds the unofficial title of Horse Trail Capital of BC thanks to its 100km of dedicated equestrian trails. Kanaka Creek Regional Park adds further trails and year-round salmon viewing right through the city, ideal for building an outdoor family life outside of work. Downtown Haney offers independent shops, restaurants, and a busy calendar of community events, all within a fast-growing, family-friendly community. Vancouver city centre is under an hour away by car or via the West Coast Express commuter rail, giving easy access to the city without city-centre living.

Skills and Requirements

• Qualified as a General Practitioner with MRCGP or equivalent qualification.
• Eligible for registration with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
• Comfortable in a full-scope, in-clinic Monday to Friday model.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An interest in minor procedures and joint injections is welcomed, though not essential.
