A highly regarded GP Training Practice just north of Plymouth is seeking a Salaried GP to join a stable, experienced team. This is a rare opportunity offering an exceptional sessional rate, hybrid working, and a well-supported, structured day with minimal home visiting and no traditional duty doctor model.

Salary & Benefits

• £12,400–£12,900 per session + indemnity paid
• NHS pension
• 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave

Workload & Structure

• 4+ sessions
• 27 patients per day, structured and predictable
• 15-minute appointments
• Mix of F2F, calls and e-consults
• Protected admin / task slots built into the day
• No traditional duty doctor model
  • Acute Hub system in place
  • First patient not until 09:30 when covering
• Minimal home visits
  • Covered daily by Paramedic / ANP team
• Excellent continuity of care with your own patient list

• Established GP Training Practice with multiple trainers
• Stable, long-standing Partnership
• Great feedback from GPs previously introduced (all still in post)
• Strong focus on reducing GP workload
• Ongoing workflow optimisation to cut admin burden
• Extensive MDT support including: 

• ANPs, Paramedics, Pharmacists
• Mental Health Practitioner
• First Contact Physio
• Social Prescriber
• Specialist Nurses (Diabetes, Cancer Care, Women’s Health, CDM)

• Encouragement of special interests
• Supportive, collaborative environment with daily coffee break
• Mixed demographic with a growing younger population

• North of Plymouth
• Easy commute from Plymouth, Tavistock and Launceston
• Attractive semi-rural setting
