Salaried GP with View to Partnership

A growing, forward-thinking practice with real ambition to expand its training provision. Falling task volumes, smart admin tools and a wide multidisciplinary team mean your time goes on clinical work. An interest in training or practice policy is welcome, but not essential.

Location

The practice is in Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peak District, with patients split between a market town and the surrounding countryside. Derby is around 30 minutes away by car and Belper around 25 minutes.

The Practice

• GP Training Practice with plans to grow its training capacity
• Mid-sized practice with a strong partnership team and a salaried GP team
• Wide multidisciplinary team including an ACP, ANPs, practice nurses, a nurse associate, PCN pharmacy, a mental health practitioner and a physiotherapist
• Auto-filing and AI document scanning, with pharmacy technicians handling discharge letters and a virtual pharmacy service dealing with medication requests
• High QOF achievement

Your Role

• 6 to 8 sessions per week, with Monday or Friday required
• At least 2 years post-CCT experience required
• 12 patients per session on 15-minute appointments
• Pooled practice list
• Duty doctor deals with urgent on-the-day requests only, with triage currently outsourced
• Home visits provided by a PCN service
• Extended hours available on a voluntary basis, with no pressure to take them on

Salary and Benefits

• £12,000 per session
• 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays and 2 NHS days
• 1 week study leave
• £500 contribution towards indemnity
• NHS Pension
• BMA model terms

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
