    Background

This is a growth role at a large practice that is investing heavily in its clinical workforce, not a replacement for a stretched rota. Sessions are capped, admin is light and on-the-day demand is shared by a multidisciplinary team, so GPs can focus on good medicine. For a GP with ambition, a structured route to Partnership is open and genuinely live.

    Location

The practice is based in Slough, Berkshire, serving a highly diverse community that offers real breadth of clinical and cultural experience. Windsor and Maidenhead are around 15 to 20 minutes’ drive away and Reading is about 35 minutes, while the M4, M40 and Elizabeth line put London and the wider Thames Valley within easy reach.

    The Practice

    • GP Training Practice hosting GP Registrars and Foundation doctors, with a strong education culture
    • Large practice with a growing list and fully funded investment in its workforce
    • Large partnership team supported by a large salaried GP team
    • Flat, non-hierarchical culture where every member of the multidisciplinary team is valued equally
    • Long-established Clinical Pharmacist and clinical admin support model that keeps GP paperwork to a minimum
    • Strong same-day access, with the large majority of patients seen or dealt with within 48 hours
    • CQC rated Good

    Your Role

    • 4 or 6 sessions per week
    • 12-minute appointments with a hard cap of 14 patients per session
    • Team-based duty sessions, with GPs, a trainee and a Physician Associate or Paramedic sharing the on-the-day queue
    • No more than one or two home visits per week
    • Opportunity to lead a women’s health and GUM specialist interest service
    • Structured six-month Partnership pathway for GPs who show leadership, with a Senior Partner retiring next year
    • EMIS Web
    • Suited to GPs with at least 18 months’ post-CCT experience

    Salary and Benefits

    • £11,500–£12,500 per session
    • Optional Saturday enhanced access sessions at £120 per hour
    • 6 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays
    • Professional fees covered
    • NHS Pension

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
