Background

Protected CPD every week, a duty day clinicians volunteer for and an in-house system that files around half of all pathology results automatically. This is a practice that genuinely protects its clinicians’ time. For a GP trainer or educational supervisor, it is also a chance to play a central role in a well-established training programme with generous supervision time.

Location

The practice is in the market town of Grantham, which sits on the A1 and the East Coast Main Line with direct trains to London. Newark is around 25 minutes away by car, with Lincoln and Nottingham each around 40 minutes.

The Practice

• GP training practice with registrars on site
• Research practice
• In-house add-on to the clinical system automates recall and prescribing
• 40 minutes protected at 11am every day for coffee/team catch-up
• Monthly service improvement day with clinical and admin representatives from every site
• Experienced ANP on site every day, plus a dedicated mental health team
• Large practice with a strong partnership team and a large salaried GP team
• Rated Good by the CQC

Your Role

• GP trainers and educational supervisors especially welcome, with supervising GPs seeing around 20 patients a day
• 26 patients per day in 10-minute slots
• Weekly duty day with around five or six on-the-day patients, the rest triage

Salary and Benefits

• Circa £11,300-£11,600 per session
• One protected CPD session per week (FTE, pro rata), never traded away for capacity
• One week of study leave, pro rata, on top of weekly CPD
• Six weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays, on BMA model contract terms
• NHS Pension

• Visa sponsorship available

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
