Locum GP – Somerset

Background
We are working with a number of well-regarded GP practices across Somerset, with consistent availability for both longer term and ad hoc work. Wherever you are based in/around Somerset, this is a great opportunity to pick up sessions either alongside your salaried role or to provide more consistent locum work, with a supportive, long standing team, manageable workload and generous daily rates.

Salary – £750-£850 per day

Location – Somerset

The practices

• Varied sized practices but with a stable and experienced clinical team
• Support from Nursing and Allied Health staff
• Structured day with protected admin time
• Efficient appointment system with 15-minute appointments
• Easy access with on-site parking available
• Emis computer system
• CQC Good practices

Your role

• Option to pick up ad hoc or more regular locum work
• Typically 12-13 patients per session
• 15-minute appointments
• 8:30am – 6:30pm
• Home Visits – often required
• Shared Admin – often required
• Duty – optional on occasion if desired
• You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performers List

Salary and Benefits

• Daily rates starting at £750 per day and increasing with increased responsibility for home visits, shared admin and duty work
• Free on-site parking
