Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, doctor-owned practice in Adelaide’s south, with a fully booked patient list from day one and top earners reaching up to $500 per hour (£265). Set within a Distribution Priority Area, this role offers genuine career longevity in a close-knit, multicultural team just 30 minutes from Adelaide CBD.

The Practice

• Doctor-owned, mixed billing practice operating for more than 45 years, with a full facility revamp completed last year – modern, well-equipped and ready to work in from day one.
• 15 GPs on site with room to grow to 24, supported by two practice managers and a full team of nurses.
• Onsite Medicare Urgent Care Clinic brings a steady stream of bulk-billed walk-in patients alongside your regular list.
• Genuine long-term career pathway – several current partners started out as registrars at this very practice.
• Strong, sociable team culture spanning a wide range of ages and nationalities, with a fully booked, loyal patient base already in place from day one.

Benefits

• A 65% fee split under a flexible mixed billing model, giving you strong control over your own earning potential.
• A minimum hourly guarantee of $150 (£80) per hour, so your income is protected from day one.
• Daily earnings of $3,000 to $6,000 (£1,590 to £3,180) are typical on a fully booked list, with top earners reaching $500 (£265) per hour.
• A $10,000 (£5,000) relocation package to help fund your move to South Australia.
• DPA classification supports Medicare provider number eligibility for suitably qualified international candidates.
• Flexible full-time and part-time arrangements across multiple open positions, with a minimum of 38 hours per week.
• Extended evening and weekend sessions offer further income opportunities for GPs who want to earn more.
• Onsite allied health, including psychology, podiatry, dietetics, physiotherapy and pathology, for easy and efficient referral pathways.
• Scope to build a special interest in skin cancer medicine, women’s health procedures or occupational medicine, covering WorkCover, CTP and pre-employment medicals.

Location Overview

Morphett Vale sits in Adelaide’s south, around 30 minutes from the CBD via the Southern Expressway, with the southern beaches of Port Noarlunga, Christies Beach and Moana Beach all a short drive away. Families are well served by local green space at Wilfred Taylor Reserve and walking trails through Onkaparinga River National Park, plus the shops, dining and entertainment of Colonnades Shopping Centre. Wine lovers can explore the cellar doors of McLaren Vale, including d’Arenberg and Mollydooker, just a short drive south. The suburb’s culturally mixed community, with around a quarter of residents born overseas, adds to a welcoming, family-friendly feel.

Skills and Requirements

• Must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List, or with the AMC and RACGP.
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification.
• Open to GPs of any experience level, from newly qualified to senior.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, suited to a close-knit, sociable team.
