    Background

This is a chance to move into clinical leadership at a long-established GP Training Practice on the South Devon coast, with two dedicated leadership sessions built into a seven-session week. You will have real influence over how the practice develops, while keeping your own patient list and the continuity of care that makes general practice rewarding. A calm, experienced senior GP team and a well-organised working day give you a stable base to lead from.

All the benefits of Partnership, without the risk and financial tie-in.

    Location

The practice is based in Torquay on the English Riviera, with beaches and coastal walks on the doorstep and Dartmoor around 30 minutes away. Paignton is roughly 10 minutes by car, Newton Abbot around 20 minutes and Exeter around 40 minutes via the A380, with Plymouth around an hour away.

    The Practice

    • Long-established GP Training Practice
    • Large practice with a mixed patient demographic and plenty of clinical variety
    • Supportive, calm and experienced senior GP team, backed by an extensive leadership team
    • Well-managed on-call: two GPs triage together, with a third GP dedicated to urgent admin, tasks and external calls
    • Daily morning coffee break that keeps the team connected
    • On-site parking

    Your Role

    • 7 sessions per week: 5 clinical sessions and 2 clinical lead sessions
    • Working with the Practice Manager to shape and deliver the practice development plan, including list growth, patient satisfaction, QOF, enhanced services and performance targets
    • Leading on clinical governance and audit, with safeguarding lead responsibilities
    • 15-minute appointments with your own patient list
    • 2 hours of admin time per day plus a lunch break
    • Very few home visits

    Salary and Benefits

    • 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata
    • 1 week study leave, pro rata
    • NHS Pension
    • Indemnity covered by the practice
    • Full financial and practical support to become an F2 supervisor or GP Trainer, with the associated income
    • Plenty of opportunities for further study and special interests
    • Electric vehicle car scheme, cycle to work scheme and season ticket loans
    • Employee wellbeing support

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
