Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to earn in the region of C$520,000 annually (approx. £280,000) at a purpose-built Saskatoon practice with on-site pharmacy, lab, X-ray and ultrasound. You’ll be mentored by a UK-trained GP who arranges everything from airport pickup to housing before you land.

The Practice

• On-site pharmacy, laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound allow same-day diagnostics without referring outside the building.
• Purpose-built eight years ago as the largest clinic in Saskatoon at the time, with modern, spacious consulting rooms throughout.
• A team of seven family physicians, most holding MRCGP, CCFP and LMCC, working alongside a hands-on GP mentor with UK training of his own – his consulting room sits right next to yours.
• FFS billing with real scope to extend your practice – suturing, cryotherapy, joint injections, minor surgery and Vandenbos toe surgery are all part of routine work here.
• One of Saskatoon’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods, giving new GPs a built-in and expanding patient base from day one.

• Ongoing CME, with visiting specialists regularly brought in for in-house teaching.

Location Overview

Evergreen sits on the edge of Saskatoon, with the walking trails and zoo of Forestry Farm Park directly on its doorstep and the protected prairie cycling routes of the Northeast Swale along its northern edge. The neighbourhood’s own village square keeps shops, dining and medical facilities within walking distance of most homes, while Saskatoon itself offers the South Saskatchewan River and its seven bridges for running and cycling along the water. Home to the University of Saskatchewan, the city has a young, growing population and a strong sense of community for families settling in, with two purpose-built schools opened together right inside Evergreen itself. Saskatoon’s own airport gives direct onward connections to the UK, so trips home don’t mean a detour through a larger Canadian hub first.

Skills and Requirements

• Qualified GP with MRCGP or equivalent qualifications.
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
• Comfortable working in a smaller prairie city rather than a major metropolitan centre.
