Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a modern, purpose-built practice in one of Victoria’s fastest-growing family suburbs, offering daily billing potential of AUD $3,000-$3,500 (approx £1,600-£1,850) from a 100% bulk-billing patient base that has already grown to over 1,000 patients in its first three months, with genuine scope to shape the clinic’s future.

The Practice

• A purpose-built, 100% bulk-billing practice designed for up to four GPs, giving you immediate access to a Medicare-card patient base without building private billing from scratch.
• Already a fast-growing panel of over 1,000 new patients registered in the clinic’s first three months alone, with strong momentum continuing.
• Standard 10-minute consultations, with a 20-minute long-consultation option available whenever a patient needs more time.
• A laid-back, family-first team culture, a world away from the pace typically found in central Melbourne.
• On-site pathology and blood collection, plus a registered nurse on-site to support your clinical day and lighten your admin load.

Benefits

• A fee split of 65-70% to the GP, tiered according to your qualifications and experience.
• A minimum hourly guarantee of AUD $170-$180 (approx £90-£95) for your first one to two months, giving you a secure income while your own panel builds.
• Daily billing potential of AUD $3,000-$3,500 (approx £1,600-£1,850) for a full patient list, once established.
• Scope to build a dedicated women’s health-focused patient panel, given the practice’s high proportion of young families.
• A nursing home coverage opportunity across several local facilities, offering an additional income stream alongside your clinic sessions.
• On-site pathology collection, cutting down on referrals elsewhere and keeping your working day efficient.
• Telehealth appointments built into your daily schedule, giving you flexibility around in-person care.
• Genuine scope to grow, with capacity to add a second GP and shape clinical services as the patient panel continues to expand.
• A collaborative, supportive team, with the practice’s senior GP closely involved in your first months on the ground.

Location Overview

Armstrong Creek is one of Victoria’s fastest-growing suburbs, just 15 minutes from Geelong and around an hour from Melbourne by car or train. Skills and Requirements

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List or registered with the AMC and RACGP.

• MRCGP or equivalent qualifications.
• Registered with the AMC and eligible for RACGP Fellowship.
• A strong communicator who involves patients in decisions about their own care.
• Comfortable adapting from the UK’s standard 10-minute consultation norm to occasional longer appointments.
