Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to open a brand-new clinic on Whyte Avenue, one of Edmonton’s busiest and best-loved streets, with an 85% fee split among the most generous in the local market. GPs at the group’s established sister site are already clearing C$50,000 a month (approx. £25,000) once settled in, backed by built-in walk-up demand from day one.

Location Overview

The clinic sits on Whyte Avenue in Old Strathcona, one of Canada’s best-loved shopping and dining districts and a genuinely walkable neighbourhood with bike lanes throughout. The University of Alberta and the North Saskatchewan River Valley trail network are both a short walk away, giving plenty of scope for running, cycling and walking along the river. The area hosts the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, the largest Fringe festival in North America, alongside a year-round Saturday farmers’ market. For a change of scene, Calgary is about an hour away by air, while everyday life stays close to home in this lively university district.

Skills and Requirements

• Qualified as a General Practitioner, holding MRCGP or equivalent.
• Eligible for registration with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
• Comfortable building a patient panel from scratch in a brand-new clinic.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach to working with colleagues.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
