    Background

This is a genuine clinical leadership role, with protected management time and real influence over how the practice runs. Worklong alongside a strong Practice Manager, you will lead, delegate and develop the team, rather than quietly absorb the workload yourself. You get the challenge and reward of senior leadership without the financial commitment and risk of partnership, whilst benefitting from extensive local backing at Federation level.

    Location

The practice is in a residential, green part of Farnborough, with quick access to the M3 and easy reach of Surrey, Berkshire and North Hampshire. Camberley is around 10 minutes away, Guildford and Bracknell around 25 minutes and Basingstoke around 30 minutes. Farnborough also has direct trains to London Waterloo.

    The Practice

    • Medium-sized practice serving a diverse patient population
    • Large salaried GP team, supported by nurses, HCAs, paramedics, pharmacists and first contact physiotherapists
    • Efficient admin team, so GPs only see the work that genuinely needs a GP
    • Home visits are rare thanks to a local rapid home visiting service
    • Young, progressive team that is open to new ideas, with strong staff retention
    • Purpose-built premises
    • Rated Good by CQC

    Your Role

    • 5–6 sessions per week across Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
    • A protected weekly management session, plus an additional session each month for higher level management meetings
    • The senior clinical voice on site day to day, working closely with the Practice Manager
    • Leading on clinical governance: spotting gaps, delegating to the right people and putting support in place
    • Holding colleagues to account and developing them by sharing out areas of responsibility
    • 4-5 clinical sessions per week of 12-13 appointments, 15-minutes each
    • Duty is entirely digital triage, supported by an administrator who actions the GP’s decisions
    • No mandatory extended access
    • At least 3 years’ post-CCT experience, ideally 5, with existing leadership experience a bonus

    Salary and Benefits

    • NHS Pension
    • Indemnity paid
    • 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
    • 1 week study leave (pro rata)

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
