Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established Central Coast practice with a patient book closed for years, offering earning potential of up to AUD $15,000 a week (approx £7,950). With over AUD $40,000 (approx £21,200) in relocation support and beaches, forest trails and ziplining on your doorstep, this is small-town medicine without compromise.

The Practice

• A closed patient book for years means a warm, loyal caseload from day one, with many patients staying across two and three generations of the same family
• A well-equipped treatment room supports skin excisions, breast biopsies and minor surgery, with two operators possible and scope to expand into Botox and other procedural work
• Two experienced practice nurses handle assessments, dressings and diabetes and ECG checks, freeing you up for higher-value consultations
• A genuinely family-run feel – 32 years established, with personalised reception areas, local artwork and an annual team social calendar
• On-site psychology and counselling, plus family planning, ECG and diabetes health checks, sit alongside core general practice and IUD insertions

• Closed weekends – the practice does not open Saturdays or Sundays, protecting your work-life balance

Location Overview

Ourimbah sits on the Central Coast of New South Wales, with Sydney around 90 minutes away and Gosford just 15 minutes down the road. Ourimbah State Forest offers an extensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails right on the town’s doorstep, alongside Treetops Adventure Park’s zipline and ropes courses. Central Coast beaches are a short 15-minute drive, and with 75% owner-occupancy, this is a stable, family-oriented community rather than a transient rental market. The town’s university and TAFE campus add a youthful, community feel, making it an easy place to put down roots.

Skills and Requirements

• Qualified General Practitioner, registered with the AMC and RACGP or eligible for registration
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred family medicine
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in long-term community practice
