Family Physician – Osborne Village, Winnipeg, Manitoba

    Job Summary

This is a rare opening in one of Winnipeg’s most vibrant urban neighbourhoods – a three-site FFS practice with LMIA sponsorship in place, a genuinely competitive 75/25 split, and current billings running at CAD $50,000-60,000 per fortnight (approximately £27,000-£32,000) and growing. The multi-site rotation model is the standout mechanic here: more patients, a 10% earnings uplift at two of the three sites, and the security of a group practice in a city where housing costs a fraction of the national average.

    The Practice

    • A three-site FFS family medicine group across Osborne Village (Winnipeg), Selkirk and Beausejour – physicians rotate across all three sites, generating higher combined patient volumes than any single-location practice could offer.
    • The Osborne Village main site is established and well-regarded, situated in one of the most densely populated and walkable urban neighbourhoods in Western Canada – consistent walk-in traffic alongside a rostered panel from day one.
    • On-site pharmacy at the main site – prescriptions handed over in-building, improving patient compliance and removing the follow-up calls that eat into consulting time.
    • Fully integrated telehealth via Medeo Health, with same-day virtual consultations already embedded into the booking system – efficient, practical, and already used by the existing team.
    • In-office procedural capability including joint injections, biopsies, cryotherapy, laceration repair and ear irrigation – income streams beyond standard consultations, available from day one.

    Benefits

    • 75% fee split on all billings, with the clinic overhead negotiable down to 20% – among the most competitive structures in the Winnipeg market.
    • CAD $50,000-60,000 billed per fortnight (approx. £27,000-£32,000) at current volumes, with growth projected as the Selkirk site opens and Beausejour expands. Over $1.4M
    • 10% earnings uplift on all billings generated at the Selkirk and Beausejour sites – a straightforward income premium for rotating across the group.
    • LMIA sponsorship confirmed and ready to move – the full administrative process is managed in-house by the practice manager, with no third-party delays.
    • 3-year contract offering long-term stability – the practice is looking for physicians who want a permanent home, not a stepping stone.
    • Complete flexibility on working hours and days – full-time and part-time both considered, with rotas structured around personal commitments from day one.
    • Winnipeg housing costs well below the national average – a 4-bed home from CAD $499,000 (approx. £270,000), compared to a national average of CAD $695,000.

    Location Overview

Osborne Village was named Canada’s Great Neighbourhood by the Canadian Institute of Planners – a walkable, independently minded urban district immediately south of downtown Winnipeg across the Assiniboine River, with independent restaurants, live music venues, boutique shops and the Gas Station Arts Centre all on the doorstep. The Forks – Winnipeg’s landmark cultural hub at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, home to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and outdoor winter skating – is four minutes away. Assiniboine Park offers 1,100 acres of trails, gardens and the city zoo within easy reach, and the neighbourhood’s rapid transit stop provides a direct link across the city without needing a car.

    Skills and Requirements

    • MRCGP or equivalent qualification
    • Eligibility for College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) registration
    • Strong patient-centred approach and genuine commitment to ethical, high-quality family medicine
    • Willingness to rotate across three sites in the Winnipeg, Selkirk and Beausejour areas
    • Experience with in-office procedures is an advantage; female applicants encouraged though all strong candidates considered
