Job Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the longest-established and most trusted practices on the New South Wales Central Coast – a clinic with over 40 years of history, full books, and a ready-made patient list from day one. Full-time GPs are billing around AUD $600,000 per year (approximately £320,000), backed by a A$15,000 relocation payment, full 482 visa sponsorship, and a guaranteed minimum of A$160 per hour while you build your base – all within an hour of Sydney and minutes from surf beaches and lake recreation.

The Practice

• Independent mixed-billing practice – GPs retain full clinical autonomy with no bulk-billing mandates imposed by government.
• Established over 40 years ago – one of the Central Coast’s most trusted and stable practices, with doctors who stay and a culture built on retention.
• Books are closed across most GPs – incoming GPs are typically fully booked within one to two months, with scope to step straight into a full list from day one.
• Skin cancer clinic, women’s health, chronic disease management, aged care, minor procedures, and GP training – a broad clinical mix with strong special-interest infrastructure.
• Four UK-trained GPs already on staff, living on the Central Coast for over a decade – a genuine peer group for anyone making the move from the UK.

Benefits

• 70/30 fee split – billing paid directly into the GP’s account; the practice invoices 30% at month end. Aged care visits billed at a 90/10 split.
• Full-time billings of around AUD $600,000 per year (approximately £320,000) – based on 4-4.5 day working patterns with strong patient throughput.
• Guaranteed A$160 per hour for the first three months – financial security while your patient base builds.
• A$15,000 relocation allowance paid in cash on arrival, plus 482 Temporary Skill Shortage visa sponsorship with immigration fees covered by the practice.
• Structured MBS billing onboarding from day one – sitting in with senior GPs to learn effective coding and care plan management from the outset.
• Two GP Directors on-site four days per week providing hands-on clinical and onboarding support throughout the settling-in period.
• No formal after-hours or on-call obligations – nursing home visits available for GPs who choose to take them at a 90% billing retention.
• Eligible GPs may qualify for a RACGP supervisor allowance if they wish to participate in registrar training – a well-established teaching practice.

Location Overview

Killarney Vale sits on the New South Wales Central Coast, tucked between Tuggerah Lake and a string of surf beaches – Shelly Beach, Toowoon Bay, and Soldiers Beach are all within 15 minutes, without the crowds of Sydney’s northern beaches. The lake itself is on the doorstep for kayaking, paddleboarding, and cycling trails, and The Entrance waterfront strip is five minutes away. Sydney is under 90 minutes south via the M1, Newcastle is an hour north, and the Hunter Valley wine region is an easy day trip at around 60 minutes – a coastal lifestyle with city access firmly intact.

• MRCGP or equivalent qualification
• AMC/RACGP registration or eligibility
