Background –

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced, recently qualified or newly qualifying GP (including those requiring Tier 2 visa sponsorship) to join a dynamic GP Training practice which is excellently led and adheres rigidly to the BMA model.

You’ll have just 12 patients per session with 15-minute appointments as standard. You’ll enjoy a weekly admin session pro rata to sessions worked (ie. 8 sessions = 7 clinical/1 admin, 4 sessions = 3.5 clinical/0.5 admin) or have the opportunity to complete your admin as you go and after your sessions, instead receiving the equivalent pay for the admin session not work (ie. an 8 session GP who just did 8 clinical sessions would be paid for 9 sessions).

For those potentially interested in moving to the area, relocation support to the tune of £10,000 is available for those moving from over 40 miles away to within 25 miles of the practice.

Salary – £10,500 – £11,000 per session plus indemnity

Location – Yeovil

The surgery –

  • Established GP Training Practice
  • Stable, experienced and very passionate Partnership
  • Geared towards reducing GP workload
    • Workflow in place – GPs now see less than 10% of what comes in
    • Paramedics completing bulk of home visits
    • Paramedics also see bulk of same-day patients triaged by Duty Doctor – aim is for Duty Doctor to physically see as few patients as possible to allow them to be more oversight oritnated
  • Coffee break every morning and an afternoon meet up before the PM session
  • Very encouraging of special interests – specialisms make for happier Doctors
  • Tier 2 visa sponsors

Your role –

  • Salaried GP (view to Partnership also available)
  • Named GP model – continuity of care whilst still flexible for patients
  • 4 or more sessions

  • Flexibility around start and finish times – structure your own day accordingly
