Background

Are you wanting to join a well-established GP Training Practice which adheres to BMA guidelines on safe working limits?
Do you want to work in a practice that is ahead of the curve when it comes to its use of technology to streamline your day?

Salary – £11,000 per session (so whilst not the highest payers in the area, you will struggle to find a more stable practice with as many other positives and that’s the trade-off)

Location – Basingstoke area

 

The surgery –

  • GP Training with multiple trainers
  • Young, dynamic Partnership – all bar one were ST3s at the practice once upon a time
  • Geared towards reducing GP workload
    •  
    • Clinical support team of ANPs, Frailty Nurse, Mental Health Worker, Pharmacists and FCPs
    • Outsourced clinical correspondence and technology-led long-term conditions management
    • Buddy system ensuring work doesn’t build up on your non-working days
  • Outstanding staff retention – they promote a ‘job for life’ culture and ethos
  • Great feedback from GPs we’ve previously recruited for them
  • Low deprivation levels – generally a younger, middle-class demographic
  • EMIS Web

 

Your role –

  • Salaried GP (longer term view to Partnership available)
  • 4-6 sessions (6 is the preference)
  • Fantastic workload
    • 12 patients per session
    • Protected follow-up slots – GP bookable only
  • 15-minute appointments
  • Morning coffee break
  • Team-based approach to Duty – always one Triage GP and one F2F GP working together
  • Minimal home visits – home-visiting team in place
  • No evenings or Saturdays
  • You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
